What I mean by semi-sober is pretty much anybody who has a vice they're moving away from right now. Trying to taper, trying to drink/smoke less, ect, whatever it is

Hell yeah 7 months is great! I'm at the same spot. Alcohol and opiates aren't safe for me, but I've had no issues with most other drugs

Yeah, tianeptine was a GNARLY fucking opiate withdrawal since its also part SSRI. Was fucking miserable and I think ive only touched opiates once since then, aside from kratom once every few months

Oof, were you taking tianeptine with phenibut? Phenibut withdrawal shits on every withdrawal I've ever been through, benzos and opiates at the same time, anti-psychotics, the whole 9. I know the two often got mixed when being sold in more normal areas.

Yes indeed. Like 10g phenibut a day for YEAAARS, and I took that while I quit tianeptine cold turkey. Tapered off the pheni with my doctors help

I relapsed on coke about a week and a half ago after going almost six months. I guess I can't trust myself to be around it yet, not sure if I'll ever be able to. Thankfully it was only a bit and I didn't buy any or start seeking again.

Yeah, coke is one that sneaks up on you. Never been hooked on it, but it's one that I just randomly crave more than other drugs. I'm glad you didn't go down the road of seeking. Just don't beat yourself up over it, yk? Hope you're doing well

is fast food a vice? if so its not going great yet, but I'm feeling motivated to drop it so I can have a more fun summer and feel better from not eating like garbage. Plus I'm taking a new drug (estrogen).

I'm gonna force myself to learn how to cook veggies that taste good instead of just whatever seems easiest. I got some really good air fryer tips from a great cook so I just need to put them to use!

I suggest doing a junk food "taper" where you stock up on snack items at the grocery store to hold off cravings while you're still starting the cooking habits. Estrogen makes you crave salt. Other people love pickles for this, but I hate pickles

comrade of the year! Thank you! I knew I recognized your user but I didn't think about it very hard

Yeah I am wondering if I can manage that taper, historically I'm prone to just devour whatever I bring home and eat as much or more as what I would have of fast food, but this time feels different! I did pick up some pretzels today and have some hummus that I need to add seasoning to (some jordanian hummus with very little ingredients compared to the slop I'm used to)

I historically tend to cook towards the junk food end of the flavor spectrum when I eat at home lol, too much salt, garlic, etc. But it's still a big improvement over fast food, as long as I mix in some veggies and don't do anything too gross lol

Off to the grocery store tonight! stalin-heart

I'm on suboxone to deal with opiate addiction and withdrawal, as well as trying to limit my pot usage.

I'm down to a fraction of a strip every couple of days, and I'm going to make another attempt at getting off it entirely when I finish school in a month or so.

Pot feels like it should be much less of an issue but I grew up using it as a makeshift antidepressant because I kept having bad experiences with prescription medications. As a consequence I have a hard time keeping my usage in check, and after more than a couple days of consecutive use I crash really hard and get extremely depressed.

Been off booze for 5 months, that's going pretty well. Had a dream where I was camping and rationalized that I could have some beers because I don't go camping often, lol

I tapered off kratom last year, but I'm back taking it multiple times daily. It doesn't cause me serious problems, but it's kind of a bummer because it took a long time to get off. The main reason I got off it was because it's inconvenient to take if I'm not at home and I'm trying to start working again. I'm going to start tapering down soon.

Kratom was tricky. If it had a longer half life, I honestly don't think I ever would have gotten off of it. But working physically dependant on kratom can get pretty uncomfortable, especially if you do longer shifts

No booze since April/until June. I just found out that N/A golden lager is decent. I'm usually a high-ABV IPA guy, but when all the beers I can drink are tied at <0.5%, I'm free to lager it up.
