when i get into this game i REALLY get into it

it just makes all the other city builders and factory games look like child's toys. it's basically the kerbal space program of the combined genre

do you start off with a blank map or one full of workers in a newly liberated republic and an industrial base utterly devastated by the war?

both! depends on my mood. i do prefer hand made maps though over randomly generated.

i do lean towards the newly liberated republic because it's so satisfying to modernize a devestated area and feels even more satisfying to take the population from huddling around fireplaces in 1800s era rowhouses to living in luxury apartments in walkable districts with everything they need

i also design my micro districts like self-contained Worker's Resorts. my starting construction town is built more cheaply but i eventually move everyone into the Resort Communities

This is a game I’d love to play if I ever got some free time. Alas. I don’t think it fits the 20 mins once or twice a week of gaming time my current life affords me.

I hope you get the spare time you deserve comrade. I've been there. Feels uncanny sometimes to just drop 2 hours on an offday into some Darkest Dungeon or the like.

Great game, just the party loyalty mechanic that's weird. Also if you turn everything to realistic you are going to have a bad time.
