Trump didn't want to win either...

Grand theory: Serving in office is hard, you have little control over most people's lives because the state is increasingly ineffective and the corporations are in charge, people will hate you no matter what. Being the opposition is great - you complain about the obviously unpopular capitalist state, raise money from sections of the elites angry at the people in charge.

I think it was on a grillpill stream where Matt brilliantly sad that the big tent left is only being held together right now is the universal hatred of Trump. The dems do have a "platform" but idk how much the average voter cares about that platform as much as they just want to not have to hear about politics constantly, and rather be at brunch with the girls taking about the new episode of desperate house wives or whatever people do at brunch.

Oh for sure, I didn't mean to imply we were part of that big tent. If anything, I feel more like OSHA right now trying to call out all the issues with our current "big tent."

its because trump is rude. that's it. he's nasty and lacks decorum, they don't give a shit if he does the same things as long as he's the blue team and is nice

What are they gonna do if Biden wins and they still can't return to that.

Because this virus is gonna be around for at least another year or two
