I've basically said this to my partner before. She gets road rage at least like twice a week and that's just what I witness when I'm THERE. We use the Life360 app because if she takes longer than usual on the road or doesn't reply to my calls or texts in a suspicious amount of time an overwhelming sense of doom steadily increases in me and I convince myself somebody shot her through her windshield or something at an intersection because she can't not yell
I feel like we have to learn another language or something. All the places I can think of we could more "easily" move to are steadily becoming more like America every decade lol

When I'm in TX (I'm from there, don't live there anymore) I generally take this approach.

tbh i don't think there's a good or even decent solution here. those that can afford to may be able to move away somewhere but that's not possible for most of us.

Having a gun can prevent some being shot at if it's known you have it. These types of killings happen because the person with the gun knows the other person is unarmed.

Yeah it's not as if there aren't prejudices against different nationalities within Latin America, and it sounds like some of the victims had just moved in, so I wouldn't rule it out as a contributing factor entirely.
They will either ignore the victims entirely or publicly mourn them as a loss of "proper" legal immigrants (only for a good few of them to be celebrating about the "trash taking each other out").
