      People on Twitter are saying that the second place guy, Mesa, already rejected any kind of partnership/endorsement from Anez. Like Mesa is a shitlib but Anez is so fucking toxic, his vaughly center-left party won't accept any kind of cooperation.

        That's not the fear here. Anez and Camacho will align to form a far right block. This can go like Germany, in which the liberals will make a coalition with the right instead of the left majority.

        Huh? But didn't they help her get in power? Didn't she have the support of all other parties with the coup? Can't imagine she'd be able to get into power if both biggest parties opposed her, right? Or am I remembering it wrong?

      like nah it is not america there is a run off system if neither the participants get majority and then the two most voted candidates get a second day of election between like you know a normal system so it is not as of a big deal
