Trotsky was vaguely anti-stalin and I'm pretty pro-stalin. It's not so much his actual views as much as he let those views carry water for liberals so hard they still circlejerk about he would have made the soviet union better to this day.
To put in a way you libs could understand, Stalin was Bernie Sanders and Trotsky was Elizabeth Warren. Her views were less of an issue compared to how she used them to fuck over the only viable left-wing candidate.
