What are the chances Reddit doesn’t give a shit and just waits it out. Only gonna last till the 14th anyways.

Some subs are going “indefinite” but Admins will just replace the mods.

WhitePeopleTwitter is doing a half-assed thing that doesn’t actually do anything.

And the big “news” ones that are 100% controlled by feds (news, worldnews, politics etc) are ignoring the blackout too. No polls, no discussions, nothing. Makes sense, too. Those the ones used to push Western propaganda. Can’t let some unpaid shmucks shut it down in “protest”.

True. But those are also the power users and mods.

And while I hate the term power user the ridiculously addicted user is usually the one creating the most engagement for the site.
    They're basically working for free.

Not for long, given how annoying the modern site has become. So much of Reddit is about engineering engagement that people who actually engage with the site are deluged with waves of notifications and alerts.

The 3rd party tools make Reddit useable. This shift could easily do to the site what heavily engineered content did to Digg.

I got 500k comment karma on that hellsite and I gotta admit it feels great to start an interesting discussion and get all the upvotes and just have a good time talking to people in little subthreads.

...or to make a really stupid joke and have 70 people go ayyyy. Both are fun.
