It works for everyone, regardless of what bits they've got. It's a blood pressure medication that changes bloodflow and just happens to improve blood flow through erectile tissue. If you have a penis that means boners, if you have a clit that means more bloodflow through the clitoris. The effect isn't as obviously dramatic as for penii, but the clit also becomes engorged.

I think it's more that your dick getting hard makes you horny. Or that you take a pill that plants the thought "I'm going to fuck soon"

I don't think people outside of the US realize just how prevalent the usage of Viagra and Cialis are here. Because they are now available as cheap generics, practically every male over 35 with an active sex life takes them. And the older they are, the more often they rely on them. Just add this to the list of pharmaceuticals that our population now requires to function, alongside SSRIs, statins, opiates, and Ozempic. I bet this is why there are STD epidemics in retirement homes across the country.

Over 35? Maybe I'm oblivious but isn't that a couple of decades too young?

I'm in my 30's and 30's aren't that old to need that at all.

38 and I use them. Not necessary but they do help with consistency.

It's also one of the most effective medicines for relieving menstrual cramps.
