It's just my name. When I was like 12 I came up with "lavarock" to sorta rep Hawaii in online games. I also sometimes went by Lava. Years later I decided that "Lava" and/or "Lavarock" was not unique enough since it's just dictionary words, and I had recently played partway through Dragon Age and they call knights and such "ser" instead of "sir" so I made it SerLava.
I kinda changed it without really changing it. My name is essentially still Lava, which I like because at one point in my teenage years I played so many online games with voice chat that when not playing games I would hear the word lava and turn around like someone said my name.
The reason I wanted something unique was I was starting to get paid to write shit about Starcraft, although that didn't really go much of anywhere and it would be like, about a decade before I was able to start making videos online
