        If the teamsters strike while the current contract is still in effect, they will be legally held liable for all damages and losses accrued to UPS as it it a breach of contract. The Teamsters are currently telling UPS to make their final offer so as to show the rank-and-file what's been offered and put it to a vote of accepting or declining the offered contract. And should that contract be ratified by the UPS teamsters, then by august 1st the new contract goes into effect. Should the UPS teamsters vote to decline the contract, then on august 1st, they have go on strike as they voted to do so.
