look i'm tired of using a box mod that looks like I'm hitting a wii remote whenever I just want a sweet sweet puff of tobacco flavored glycerol & nicotine.

I'm not opposed to using a pod system but I'd at least like to use one that is refillable and the coils can be swapped out of because fuck the inherent "yeah just throw these in the trash, dw about the plastic or remaining bit of liquid left inside" nature of most pods like juul or things like the elfbars my zoomer little brother recommended

A few weeks back I hit one year without nicotine and I do highly recommend quitting if it's something you have considered. I vaped starting in 2014 and used a ton of different RDA and RTAs along with a share of pods once the coils improved a lot. I would recommend SMOK's pod-style vapes. Pretty pocketable, decent battery life, and the most reliable of anything I messed with--i had fuck ugly nord 3 that lasted me more than two years. The RPM 2 coils were what I preferred, and they were pretty inexpensive. I would usually go through one a week, though sweeter juices may burn out your coils really quick.

      I concur.

I have been using the SMOK Novo 3 for several years. It's small enough to fit in the little coin pocket in men's jeans, or palmed in public settings, reliable, replaceable pod, battery seems ample.

Can't go wrong with Uwell Caliburns. I haven't kept up with the latest releases, but anything in the Caliburn G line or compatible with the G coils will be a great choice. The coils aren't expensive, they last a very long time (2 weeks on average for me, but I'm a heavy user and some flavorings kill them fast), and the flavor is excellent. They can be refilled, too. My G2 used to be my daily driver when I used to go out more often and didn't feel like carrying a box mod the size of a VCR tape in my pocket.

Uwell's a good brand, or at least they used to be. I had the Crown and Crown 2 tanks and they were solid.

    vapresso XROS 3

I got one a few months ago and it's easily the best device I've used. I had an old duel battery mod for years and then went a few months using disposables but this little pod vape is amazing

the pods last 2-3 weeks, no leaking ever, really easy top fill pods no mess, and the battery lasts at least 3 days without charging and it only takes about an hour to fully charge from nearly dead.

the only downside is the pods only hold about 3 ml of juice but it's incredibly easy to add more

don't know how to edit on connect lemmy app but it also has an adjustable airflow. it seems mostly made for mouth to lung vaping but that's what I've always liked better

I don't get pods so I'm in the same boat. after messing around for a bit, I ended up on a dna100c box mod that takes a pair of 21700s - so battery life is great - and use the valhalla 30mm rda and the steam crave pumper for squonking. it's great and I love being able to make my own coils. almost have fraliens down. I love temp control - I get about a month out of a single installation of cotton and I have a little ultrasonic cleaner so I can reuse gunked up coils. vinegar and water gets them good as new so I can keep reusing them until they break - generally 6 months to a year of careful use, per pair of coils.

company that made my mod was called franknbox customs but they went out of business recently. got it laser etched with the trans communist logo and a symbol of the fasces getting crushed by the fist on the other side. it's beautiful and I'm sad I can't get this one replaced when it inevitably breaks. it's expensive but I was treating myself cause I just landed a good job.

For MtL, I use this guy

For the battery I use an eleaf istick.

Super cheap. Good hits. It's great. The coils are basically just a bit of cotton and some aluminum, and for me they last like 4 weeks between changes.

I've been using the VooPoo DragX for quite a while now and I am very happy with it.

For what it's worth I've been vaping for quite a few years and I reckon it's the best unit I've ever used.

A nice bonus is that there are a wide variety of coils available for it. Any PnP coil will be compatible with it so you can do a nice low key low voltage/wattage coil or blow big honkin clouds if that's how you roll.
