Some more context

Who would have thought the show lionizing Reagan-era Americanism and Capitalism would have actors with shitty political views?

Nah, he’s likely been indoctrinated into seeing the colonial project of Israel as a good thing since a young age. He’s not dumb, unfortunately.

Unless you’re talking about the people watching the show uncritically.

Bear in mind he's barely an adult, and likely has no exposure to the harsh reality of geopolitics. I had shitty political views at 18 too.

Five seasons of a bunch of small town kids and their psyker buddy fighting monsters from another dimension with hutzpah, fireworks and product placement

    It's not good folks

(The first season was decent, but the show should have legitimately been an anthology, each time focusing on a different place and aspect of the potential horror of the Upside-Down)

The way the fourth season just removed any last sense of mystique and cosmic horror the Upside Down had by pinning all of the events of the last three seasons on just one super-powered asshole's grudge against said psyker probably killed my interest in the show for good. I'll still watch the fifth season if only because people I know like it and it's still entertaining on some level.
