The youtube algorithm introduced me to her channel a month ago or so. I really like her--she's really, really good at explaining things and also she has a great sense of humor. Somebody described her as the Jenny Nicholson of science, and I think that really fits.

The algo gods decided to bless her channel around that time, she had a huge influx of subs. Great videos.

Her heart is in the right place, bless her, but whatever theory she’s read isn’t Marxist.

She can probably be fixed, just need to ask her what would happen if the crackpots were in charge of the sciences, then explain that is what has happened to economics via the chicago school.

Yeah that's definitely true. She is anticapitalist to some extent though, if you watch her video on AI she basically says the same thing ML's have been saying for forever, that AI is only an instrument that reduces the amount of specialized labor that goes into each commodity, but firms will still need workers to make their products (but with lower wages and less bargaining power now).

as a connoisseur of math and physics crackpots, i have to say that math crackpots are the most fun. they're just doing whacky wrong shit that doesn't make sense to any brain but theirs. the best of them all is terryology though. that's a fucking masterpiece.

I'm not a crackpot connoisseur, but I enjoyed this video! Can't say I absorbed 100% of it, but I think I could at least convey some of the basic observations if dark matter came up in casual conversation.

Also, that page for the dark matter rap contains the first instance I've ever seen of rap lyrics typeset in LaTeX...I love it.
