I also got her to stop reading mainstream news after making her watch the debates with me and she saw for herself how much they spin any threat to capitalism
My partner too, now she explains to other people that it's not about "each individual cop being bad" so much as "the system that police operate under does not prevent them from being bad"
This is an excellent point, wish I could promote it more but people always go "yeah but my second cousin's dad is a cop and he doesn't always brutalize every brown person he sees."
