    There's not even any strong evidence to suggest that stretching reduces your risk of injury, besides functioning as a warmup, which doesn't have to be stretching. Conversely, intense stretching before lifting has been shown to reduce strength output. And range of motion isn't a reliable predictor of injury risk either.

    But the meditative side of Yoga definitely has significant psychosocial benefits, not necessarily more than other forms of meditation, but if it floats your boat yogic meditation can certainly improve your QOL.
