Its one of those foods that is expensive and boogie but is really just the 1950s version of said food before capitalism invented all those bullshit ingredients that save money but erode quality. Imagine not just being in your 70s and thus reverting to a toddler's palate, but imagine on top of that biting into your candy food and getting a nostalgia rush for your childhood. They can't resist.
