Can't have fully automated space communism without the automation.

I have been! I last played before it was on steam. Is there crossplay between epic and steam?
Also apparently the community is pretty cool https://www.reddit.com/r/SatisfactoryGame/comments/i1sllr/hire_him/ Bunch of people clowning this dude for posting a notch tweet.
I never really got into the multiplayer aspect of it. Once I've gotten my itch to play minecraft dealt with I might go back to satisfactory!
From what I hear it's a bit buggy but it still seems like it would be fun. I'm really liking it so far, even just watching a small factory do its thing with all the intricate animations is really cool.
Couldn't get into it, honestly.
Mostly because as soon as I was told to put coal and iron together I said "fuck that noise" because the closest coal deposit was on the top of a mountain 5000 meters away. Also, the lack of a global grid makes it impossible to make things symmetrical grrrrr
There's a mod for a grid ruler and once you get your first coal mining operation running and a coal generator you get to stop worrying about manually loading your fuel. Also building foundations makes buildings snap to their grid. I admit that put me off a bit too but once I got coal flowing back to my main base everything got more interesting and allows for more complex designs.
I can get that I was just so much not going to spend the next hour of my life trying to figure out how the fuck I was getting a conveyor belt up that mountain after walking 30 minutes both ways
