Yeah, once you have a dairy allergy and start paying attention you start realizing just how much shit in the USA is infused with whey or use lactose as a binding agent. It's kind of fucking absurd and pisses me off because I KNOW you can make some stuff without it, it'd just be slightly more expensive to produce. I can't imagine having to navigate around two food allergies at one time though.
Those are just the ones that were related to the post lmao. Some foods like actually really fuck with me and other trigger eczema/ stomach problems so I've cut them out as well.
Whey pisses me off because the Philly pretzel factory uses that in pretzels and I can't enjoy them anymore. I'm not used to not eating 12 pounds a year
lol. I feel that man. I have Crohn's and the most random shit will trigger me to need to rush to the bathroom and evacuate everything from my bowels. The past couple of years have been a fun exercise in narrowing down all the stuff that messes with my stomach. Can't even eat fucking bell peppers anymore because too much fiber, but man, I can handle lettuce just fine, go fucking figure.
Thanks. I appreciate it. It really sucks sometimes, but thankfully I've been mostly in remission for the past 5 years. So here's hoping that keeps up, haha. I think cleaning up my diet was one of the best things I've ever done. I miss diary and spicy food, but it's way better not eating that stuff than feeling like I'm going to shit myself all the time, lol.
Shit like this makes me wish I wasn't allergic to everything 😭
Water is the only thing I can have on this list lol
wtf how
No corn or dairy eliminates like all this stuff :(
oh yikes lmao
Damn so even corn syrup?
Yeah like all things derived from corn other than white vinegar are like poison to me :(
