More than a dozen people are accused of participating in what the FBI is calling a “violent” militia scheme involving people from several different states to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as a hostage and overthrow the Michigan government.
The most surprising part to me is the FBI actually investigating and prosecuting rather than funding and assisting.
They were not organized. They had the opsec of a guy yelling in a walmart dairy aisle and the threat model of a knitting club.
