There are a lot of Democratic voters who remember that time and are praising this turn of events.
My circle of friends, we would watch The Daily Show during the Bush years as a group hangout and I'm one of two out of the group that has turned more left. The rest are just typical Democrats.
I think that most of my friends, when given this news just do the simple behavior when experiencing cognitive dissonance, and just ignore it.
