Yeah, I think it's something that should be said of all leftist ideologies. You aren't a communist or an anarchist unless you've meaningfully engaged in contemporary communist or anarchist struggles. Ranging from specific targeted protests to basic anti capitalist struggles like eviction fights at the more basic end to fighting in foreign wars like the rojava international sympathizers.
