    I mean, is that even wrong though? The other choices were so awful that she really was the least bad one after Bernie. It says more about how bad the other candidates were than anything.

      I think it's a case of "it's not what is being said, but how it's being said." Saying that she was the second best choice gives her validity. Imagine it was just Bernie, Pete, and Biden, and someone said "I think Pete's the best choice after Bernie." You're legitimizing a terrible choice, you shouldn't give much space to think about anything but the only acceptable possibility.

        But practically speaking, in the most positive possible scenario Bernie would have gotten some social democratic reforms done that probably don't go as far as Sweden, so I'm not sure the practical difference is a that great.

        Idk probably true in his prime but with two high schoolers playing Weekend at Bernie's with his corpse it's hard to say
