For however much you want to blame this on "wreckers", for however much you want to talk up all the hard work you did reaching out, at the end of the day the fact remains that you lost a significant portion of the trans community and both you and the person in charge of trying to salvage that community proceeded to instead try and dox that same community. For what? For who?

Trans people felt unsafe. They spoke out, and they were lumped, with no evidence, with opportunistic shitposters and entirely unrelated Cum Town raiders, just so you had a passable excuse to ban those people.

This entire process has been one of the staff looking for ways to make up reasonable excuses for why they were hemorrhaging trans posters. That is how this looks to anyone who doesn't habitually choke on leather. That is the community you have fostered.
