I don't know as much about the clathrate gun as I should but last I read about it, the finding was the effects had been overestimated. I'll check and get back to you. In any case the breathability of the air isn't really the problem. Methane is just 30x worse than CO2 as a greenhouse gas.

Hey I checked back and yeah, you dont need to lie awake nights worrying about the permafrost methane changing the atmosphere overnight.
