LOVE to be used as a political bargaining chip by Democrat party fanboys on r/politics who are now talking about making PR a state to have a majority in the Senate.

I don't want to join that backward ass country, I don't want to be culturally genocided, and they're 100% telling on themselves as the colonists they are.

They don't give a shit about us and I'm really tired of them talking like we can't hear them.

I think Puerto Rico should either become a state or granted total independence. Having them be 2nd class American citizens is ridiculous.

          First you get the independence

Then you get the glorious socialist revolution

Then you... probably get invaded by the US unless you ally with China or something.

            It's what Bolivia is doing!

Honestly the Sandinistas are correct and Latinoamérica gains strength through allyship against the imperial core. But we do need a big world power like China on our side so the US really really wouldn't fuck with us.

I feel like the US would just use "well it used to be ours" as justification for at least a couple decades. :(

let's be honest, you achieve 100% independence and then they'll coup your nominal leftist suc dems, cause their pharmaceuticals have gone up 2cents.

That's what they do. They use minorities and other assorted indigenous groups as props to emotionally blackmail people and as soon as they can, they throw them under the bus.
