There is a user that comes from Australia that says there the cats becae an invasive species that is killing indigenous wildlife so I guess thats understandable, but probably anywhere else cats don't survive in the wild and/or there is indigenous wild cats species in that ecosystem, like where I live
Yeah in Australia it's literally government policy to kill stray cats, the :galaxy-brain: settlers fucked up the ecosystem so much that if the stray cats get out of control it could probably lead to the extinction of some other animal species
Yeah my country doesn't really have a problem with stray cats at all, I was pretty shocked to hear it's government policy in other countries to straight up kill stray cats.
yeah they have a totally different situation than most other places. most places have a native small cat of some kind, AUS & NZ do not and theyre dangerous to native wildlife there, very dangerous. its nothing like the americas or Europe and Asia.
thank fucking god that struggle session is over, I almost left this place over that. way too many people cool with killing cats for my liking

Where I grew up stray cats end up in dairy farms from around town where they became fat blobs that drink milk and hunt fat pidgeons in the feedlots.

Also, it's not like we all live in small towns, a cat in a city wont get to the open fields.
