Alec Baldwin's Trump "impression" has gone from bad to unholy abomination, Jim Carrey's Biden is fresh and still kinda funny. Think of poor Matt having to slog through another 4 years of Baldwin's protruding lower lip.

Are they? That's awesome. I hadn't really seen any reaction, I watched some of the SNL debate cold opens just now and I was surprised how much I liked the Biden impression, but holy fucking shit, Baldwin is unwatchable, he's now doing a caricature of his already really bad caricature. Almost made me mail in a ballot right then.

Yeah, I regularly torture myself by reading the hyper-libs on resetera.com and they constantly whine about how unfair it is for Carrey to not have a glowing Biden impression.

Isn't it interesting how quickly "I don't like ~insert centrist here~ either, but we have to vote out the baddie" turns into "speak no ill of this glorious ubermensch, you don't know how unworthy you are"

It's wild. You can say "Biden sucks but I guess I'll vote for him" and they'll be fucking furious at you.

I remember in "Listen, Liberal" Thomas Frank tells a story about how Eric Holder was sometimes convinced to not prosecute individual bankers after 2008 for obvious fraud, because if you hurt them, you hurt the banks, and nothing is more important than protecting the banks. It's the same fucking logic, if you show anything less than glowing enthusiasm, you're hurting his candidacy, and nothing is more important than voting Trump out.
