This whole time I've been wondering why bosons can still be referred to as particles despite not taking up space in the way I imagine all particles to. Turns out the taking-up-space property of fermions is incidental(???)
Now I'm wondering what happens if you imagine new elementary particles with totally random quantum numbers. If spin being 1/2 is enough to create emergent behaviour like the pauli exclusion principle, what sort of elditch behaviours could you summon up with spins of 1/92 or something?

Isn't spin quantized such that it can only have values of the form n/2
