If someone’s made an account, it’s safe to say they probably made it to interact. We don’t want to then say, right as they’re about to first engage, ‘now go wait an hour’.
It’s getting easier. Now the admins have a handy ‘nuke’ button on user profiles that erases all their posts. So instead of having to delete everything one-by-one, it’s just a button press and the spammer is back to making yet another account.
It’ll only get easier as mod tools and rate limiting increases. It’s a good test run for later.
why don't we turn off posting for accounts until they are at least like, I don't know, an hour old
