If for nothing else the show is critical watching for the complex portrayal of PTSD.
It was definitely a pioneer in queer representation in animated shows for young persons as well.
definetly has potential now that we are sure to see 4 more seasons, but not my magnificent Korra yet.
Korra was sooo real and relatable, she was lost, misguided, manipulated, severing her connection to her past lives was very bold and i loved it. Villains are way better than Ozai maybe except for Unalaq, and the topics show used like immigration, equality and depression were amazing. Meanwhile ATLA was undoubtedly great, i would have preferred if Aang had to sacrifice his personal ideals for a better world and had to kill Ozai much more. besides all this i will never forgive them for making Toph a pig zzzz
This ain't it, chief. Legend of Korra is not only bad for a number of politically-unrelated reasons, it's also liberal bullshit (even more than the original, which veered into that territory occasionally)
Zaheer is a dumb liberal caricature of anarchists. He just makes a big fucking power vacuum and fucks off. Zaheer is about as good as the US
LoK isn’t politically any worse than TLA. Aang’s pacifism is frankly whack and
I already addressed that the original show veers into liberal bullshit too, but Legend of Korra is much, much more direct and much worse about it.
