Well it was fully under control here until some hotel and airline owners cried about muh profits so we opened up to tourism and we went from losing our shit at 5 cases per day to the government seeing the line go up and up and up into thousands of cases per day and being like "hmm, maybe if we make it illegal to buy alcohol after dusk it's gonna stop doing that" even though they knew very well what they had to do to make it stop because it is what they did the first time and it worked, until the hospitals got full, at which point they realized "shit we gotta go into full lockdown now".

the only reason covid is spiking is because capitalism. If the state could pay for people to stay home and I dunno keep essential business afloat until it's nationalized, we would be over it. But muh cruise line industries etc...
