    This story is plausible enough and heard similar ones. Let's say it's true. (I'm suspicious because it claims there are jobs where a 22yo can earn 90k) It's not necessarily true that all managers are ruthless pricks. But the economic system we have necessitates ruthlessness.

      “With commission”

      That means that if you’re busily stabbing everyone around you in the back for leads and closing viciously, then you can make $90k.

      Most people won’t.

      90k isn't too rare for Software Engineers working in one of them larger companies

      I know a few people who made that coming out of college. Lockheed, IBM, various oil adjacent companies in Texas. If you get an engineering or compsci degree you can make bank here
