Posted this on mentalhealth a couple days ago but only got one reply. Sorry if that isn't okay.

Chapos, I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I have major depressive disorder that I’ve been struggling with for years. This time last year, I’d gotten it under control with a new drug, Rexulti, but unfortunately it was under a three month trial thing and my insurance refused to cover it. Now, a year later, they are still refusing to cover anything but SSRIs that don’t work as I am susceptible to serotonin syndrome and can’t take much more than minimum dosages. I’ve heard of people sourcing meds from India, Mexico, Canada, etc but am very unsure how to do so. Do any of you have experience or information that would help me acquiring medication without Blue Cross’s bullshit?

    Peganum harmala

This one is pretty much perfect for that use, and costs literally close to nothing - look for Syrian Rue; you can make a tea from the seeds directly (3g is a good starter dose), though be advised it is also, by itself, a psychedelic (which most people would start to really feel around 4g - light effects, though). It can also induce nausea at first. A good bet if you want to avoid the later is to extract the harmal alkaloids yourself (which is extremely easy, albeit a bit time consuming). It's a selective and reversible MAOI, inhibiting only MAO-A, so it requires virtually no attention to your diet and won't leave you inhibited for weeks as usual medical MAOIs do.

Oh, and due to its MAOI properties, it's also a great addition to a shroom trip (where both potentiate each others - expect the Rue effects to be increased as well) and an almost universal admixture to Ayahuasca.
