    These are really good. It's very uncomfortable to look at, but you've touched upon a very particular melange of elements of our culture and imperial reality that makes me feel more viscerally the sort of everyday violence that is papered over by corporate facade. Because functionally how different is Abu Ghraib from the violence required to prop up capital indefinitely? It's just more concentrated and we all acknowledged that we'd seen it so we had to say it was awful.

      I think this is starkly different. This is taking famous war crimes and repainting them with current corporate aesthetics, pointing out that this violence never ended and showing its still lurking beneath the flat design bullshit aesthetic. The pelosi edits were just taking cultural appropriation to the absurd.

      Like yes this is shock humor but you can read a message out of it at least.

      i used adobe fresco on an ipad, but i'm not experienced doing this but a lot of brushes i collected over the years and 50-75% smoothing helps.
