Especially if you're like me and motivated to continue reading by seeing the pages you've read pile up, lol.

I feel robbed when graphs and illustrations don't progress the pagecount in epub files.

I literally can't fuck with ebooks. I get too distracted by having easy access to the entire wealth of human history in my palms, haha.

That's why I have a dedicated device without internet access. No backlight either so you're eyes don't get strained like they would on a phone.

Still couldn't do it. I enjoy the smell of books too much. The sound of the pages rubbing against each other as I flip the page is like pure ecstasy to me as well. 🤤🤤🤤

It is a good feeling looking at a book and seeing your bookmark like 2/3's of the way thru. The first 1/3 though. Feels bad man.

they should just bump the page number instead of using extra tree

Honestly, though. It's no more aesthetically pleasing to me than just opening a chapter immediately on the next page, haha.

That's also an upside to all communist books being like half preface. A huge chunk of the book gone right after the first page.

The audiobook equivalent is when the narrator stops talking for a few seconds and you wonder if something bugged out, you win this time print text

Not really related but this reminded me to when my little sister was a full blown Charmed fan so she was pretending that she was a witch all day and that was cool and good until she found one of my mom's facsimile of one of our countries' greatest poet's book that had lots of blank pages in it and wrote it chock full of spells and shit like "This is a message from the other side: I love you Piper"
