      Damn, kinda like they thought that they'd still have a job for awhile but then something happened so they don't, and then they still need the car because america doesn't believe in public transport or sidewalks

      Is it? I mean, I saw a few absolute galaxy-brain takes in there, but for the most part people seemed to agree that the Dow Jones means jack shit when it comes to people's material conditions, and that basically no one plans to go eight months without income so the cars aren't really indicative of anything. I was pleasantly surprised to see this doing my occasional scrolling-through-/r/all-as-self-harm session.
