Im gonna be hosting a factorio game starting tomorrow at 5pm, username is ToastGhost2.
I'll keep the game up for as long as people are playing it, and my computer is beefy enough I can run factorio in the background and never take it down.
Im gonna start without a whitelist but if it turns out we need one ill add anyone who was part of the world, as well as anyone who asks here, as long as you're not a throwaway account. I'll edit this post to say so if we have a whitelist in the future.
EDIT: I've decided that I am going to take the game down when no one is playing, if I were to leave it running with no one online our factory would definitely get ripped apart. I don't currently have a schedule for when it will be up, but for now I'll try to have it up by 5pm daily and we will go until everyone gets tired.
no mods, although they are fun, maybe another time we could do a modded map
I'm just thinking squeakthrough or whatever it's called. I run into so much without it.
I could add it, factorio is pretty good with mods and auto-installing them. Definitely wanna do a vanilla-like map this time, but squeak through is qol that fits nicely.
Know of any other good qol mods? I typically play completely vanilla or packs like seablock.
Some qol mods I played with in my last playthrough:
- blueprint flip and turn
- bottleneck
- enhanced map colors
- even distribution
- far reach (kind of cheaty)
- todo list
The first 4 might only be client-side, I only played singleplayer with them so idk.
thanks, ill look at these and decide which will fit, my intention is to have a map that could be loaded on a completely vanilla save, so squeak through or blueprint flip would be fine but a mod that changes the functionality of machines i probably wont add.
yeah its on friday, so the day after, technically today now.
itll be running probably for a couple days at least, much longer if we get really into it and go for a megabase.
