    This is the opposite of malthusianism but it somehow still feels really fashy to me. Huh. Horseshoe theory is real I guess.

      This is literally just standard bare liberalism. The majority of elected democrats absolutely believe this shit.

      The big difference though is that they view free trade and multinational sovergn institutions as a way to maintain that power as more practical so they focus on that instead.

          I don't think this point is fair given the poorest countries have the highest birth rates and the richest have the lowest.

          This said, liberals love to ignore political implications of things and just focus on markets.
