I have been playing those games since I was 6, but I didn't know anything about IVs, EVs, Breeding, Stats. So I beat the Sword Storyline and now I got no clue as to what to do to get some more replay value?

    Honestly: If you're not doing PvP, don't worry about Individual Values/Effort Values. It's pure wank for the sake of wank.

      At least they have the EV training missions in Sw/Sh so you can just go to bed and wake up with a few mons fully trained in a stat when you wake up
