    Abolishing commodity-production is difficult in a world where you have to trade to maintain competitiveness. China is playing the long game, they're building their productive forces, increasing their military strength and advancing their technological capabilities. China is mostly western-style capitalist, but they also have a significant state controlled capitalist sector. And most importantly at the current stage, the government is firmly in the hands of socialists, rather than the capitalist class.
