They got their metaphor completely backwards, and trying to write the rest of the game around that fucked them in a million ways. Still has a lot of cool moments though.
Mankind Divided. Why are Augs treated like a maligned minority? Surely the problem should be that Augs are more likely to be wealthy, and the poor are being cut out of society more and more because they can't get augments necessary to compete on the job market. There's a sidequest in HR where you learn that a pimp is forcing his girls to get augments and debt trapping them, and in MD it should be a systemic problem where the entire middle class is saddled with augments they didn't want and unpayable debts they work themselves to death trying to pay.
But instead the super strong and super fast cyborgs are turned into a hamfisted metaphor for racism.
