        Ideally, there should be consolidation o f land, mechanization and the laid-off farmers would find better paying jobs in cities which is what happened in China.

          can only really do that with a good jobs program and social safety nets so they dont end up in poverty, which is why Modi needs to be hung before anything like this is considered

      Isn't intensive agriculture incredibly ecologically damaging in part because the mechanization is dependent on fossil fuels?
