The eXile's writing was in large part a parody of the depravity of western ex pats in post soviet russia, and they wrote a few passages where they sexually assaulted Russian women. They wrote it as something they did, so people thought it was something that actually happened. Iirc, some reporter followed up, interviewing the women interns mentioned, and they said it was false. Matt also posted a long apology/contextualization on fb. You can probably find the links pretty easily.
