40k isn’t shit. That comes out to like 18$ an hour(I don’t feel like doing math so I’m guessing). Most professors would be lucky to get 2 classes and there’s no guarantee there will be one next semester. Plus competition for those jobs is fierce and they evaluate you on what you do outside of class. In short, you’re always hustling for very little pay. I honestly don’t know how people teach college
