We just got the anglo strain here in Australia and now I'm scared to go outside again. Thanks, UK and Australia for letting the super virus spread when we could have so easily contained it.
Yeah we are, but it got loose from one of the motels because of a false negative from a staff member and it was hard to trace the initial spread.
We locked down the area of Sydney, introduced restrictions everywhere else, shut the state borders, and now we've got the outbreak under control more or less, only 4 local cases today, down from 20 a day at peak.
France here, the variant is here now too with two identified contagion clusters of it (and probably many more that weren't identified). We still haven't felt the impact of the new year celebrations on cases but it's coming soon. And the government still won't implement a new lockdown - as usual they'll do it (betting on next week), but too late. Oh, and schools are still opened because of course they are.

Of course the totally fair and not a US puppet Australian government will be just as harsh on the UK as they were with China.

yeah as in spreading someone had it in quarantine and gave it to a cleaner
