Keeping the filibuster is a fundamentally ideological position. It means that except what you can pass one a year through budget reconciliation, you can't do shit. It favors the conservatives in a chamber that is already shaped by white supremacy and minority rule.
I am also expecting the Dems to use reconciliation for something smaller, or use it to pass a compromise bill negotiated with the Republicans (that the Republicans then proceed to filibuster anyway).
