She did some great reporting on Epstein, Qanon etc but it's interesting to me that she never expresses any kind of political ideology that she believes in. I was listening to an interview with her where she talks about the elites calling us rats and how disorganized we are but this really never turns into a call for organization or support for any revolutionary/anti imperialist movements.

In some ways I find this hyper focus on conspiracy (for lack of a better term) with absolutely no focus on any kind of praxis to have a debilitating effect. Like it creates a mindset of "we are so fucked, they control everything and we have no chance"

Also, I gather that she is a Bitcoin libertarian who was probably really into Alex Jones in 2004 or something

    It's a conscious, careful decision to not associate with labels.It's the same frustration I have with her, the Martins, Peter Joseph, etc.

    Put your cards on the fucking table. The imperial core is rotten. We don't have time for higher morals. This ship is going down and only one thing has hope of correcting it. Call yourself a fucking communist so we can create a goddamn movement. Fly a red flag, damn you!

      I almost threw in Robbie Martin's name as I get the same paralyzed by paranoia (however justified this paranoia is) feeling from him.

      For me I find some of the stuff they talk about useful (great reset shit, new 9/11) to think about but it's all so nihilistic and hopeless. Not a headspace I want to spend a lot of time in.

      Also, comments on her Twitter and youtube are always full of chuds talking about cultural marxism and the radical progressive agenda or whatever. Some weird fishhook theory shit playing out.

        I get it. I share your frustration because it's one I feel constantly. I can't help but find myself fascinated by the dedication Robbie has to analysis though. Throw an ushanka on that man and you have a husbando.

        I think that trueanon is about as close as one gets to those spicier topics while still having a leftist foundation. It does suffer from being relatively more theatrical than Media Roots in its presentation, however.

        I don't share the same suspicion specifically regarding old takes/weird followers. I don't think I would have gotten where I am today without some questionable interests here and there. Whomst among us, you know. RE: alex jones specifically, I remember an early revelation that came with researching the gay frogs thing, as I think many did. Of course the context of what he was saying was wrong, but where else when he was talking about it would you find shit about corporate pollution? Probably somewhere, but I didn't know about it.
