Right. There is no actual party each politician is beholden to whatever donor interests they have. The politics can only happen if all the circles overlap

    Dat filibuster tho.

Democrats are dogshit, useless, stand in the way of progress, and they're hamstrung by the fucking filibuster. Hope they pass the bill though to marginally improve people's lives, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The cruelty is baked into the system and Dems LOVE the system. They are in their hearts just Republicans who want to spread suffering equally.

No doubt the filibuster or even the idea of the filibuster is used by Dems to not try things or water down legislation, and the propaganda machine of CNN/MSNBC/NYT/corporate media uses the existence of the filibuster to explain why any kind of re-distributive policy is not possible.

I don't think for one second that Pelosi/Schumer/Biden/any of the Third Way ghouls want to actually improve anyone's life, they believe we deserve our suffering, that the plebs have earned their pain and suffering. But they also have the sense to understand that the threshold of pain people are willing to endure is reaching its limits, so they're trying to preserve the system and reach pre-COVID levels of pain and misery, then shut the door on any kind of long-term re-distributive policy. I think Dems want to pass more COVID relief, and want to still use the threat of the filibuster to deny debt relief, M4A, ect.
