She should explain why Machin, Biden, Obama, Hillary, ect cannot help people. That's the problem with Sanders/AOC/whoever, they don't point a finger at Joe Manchin and say 'He's immiserating you because he literally has to grovel for pocket change from billionaires to run his campaigns. There's no point in moralizing, this is about power.'
Everyone knows politicians should help people, but the power dynamics as to why that doesn't happen are never discussed.
True, but it also comes down to power. AOC doesn't have any because 99% of the Democratic Party are blood curdling psychopaths. She knows this, they know this. The entire party apparatus is incapable of any kind of non-means tested re-distributive policies.
That's why the Dem Party will always co-opt leftists and neutralize them so long as the donor Network is still in place.
