I was walking home from work and thinking about how when the climate gets worse we're probably going to have to cover ourselves even more than we do now due to COVID. Like we'll be walking around in full body suits with helmets and oxygen tanks that will sold to us by "intrepid" capitalist and we'll have no choice but to buy them because its either that or die. And they'll keep telling us how its the new normal or whatever other coping bullshit they want to feed us...

I don't want to be a doomer, but its hard not to be with everything thats going on and it being perfectly clear that nothing is going to be done to change things :doomjak:

You're just being realistic and yes this is probably going to be the future unless we do something about it. So invest in a NBC or MOPP suit now I guess.

Industrial agriculture significantly increases the risk of contracting zoonotic diseases via increased contact and the generally poor health of both the animals and workers.

We can get avian influenza viruses just by coming into contact with a surface a sick bird was in contact with, no eating necessary.

Considering I hardly ever see someone climb random shit to get their grubby hands on it nor just touch the floor outside I'm pretty sure the vegans are proven right once again
